Walter C Jungmeyer and A.C. Palmer opened their Jungmeyer and Palmer car agency in 1935 on this corner after being appointed the Tampa Dodge and Plymouth territory by the factory. They were around until the early 1940s. The business was called Packard Tampa Motor Company by the middle of that decade, shown here. By the mid-1950s, the building was Associated Discount Garage. Packard stopped making cars in 1958. The building was converted to offices, and in the mid-1960s, General Telephone Company had their Tampa employment office here. With its proximity to the Frederick B Karl County Center which opened in 1992, the building is perfect for lawyer’s offices and sandwich shops. Several attorneys have operated and continue to work here. In the early 2000s, Lonni’s Sandwich shop was a favorite. It is now home to Wall Street Pizza.
