Around the same time Josiah Richardson began developing his tourist attraction around the Sulphur Springs pool, Dr G Goldstein established his Oak Grove Springs subdivision, including this spring-fed pool, in 1907. It was located west of Florida Avenue from Sulphur Springs and on the south side of the river. The difference was that Goldstein, an optician turned real estate mogul from Louisville, sold lots for homes in his development instead of attempting to turn it into a tourist attraction like Sulphur Springs. His 69 lots sold for $150 each. Anyone who bought one was entitled to use the 3-section concrete spring-fed pool for as long as Goldstein owned it. Others could pay a dime to swim there. Like other pools in the area, like Sulphur Springs and Palma Ceia, it experienced its share of tribulations regarding cleanliness. It changed hands several times.

The small Goldstein subdivision, occupying .01 miles directly across the river from Lowry Park between Hamilton Avenue and Flora Street, remains intact. The pool closed for good at the start of World War II and was bulldozed, with the spring being buried a few years later. Houses now rest on top of the spring along the river shore where the pool once existed.
